I keep this terrible, deeply misogynistic film in my portfolio for one reason:
To remind myself that I was right.
I believed then—and I still believe now—that it would age badly.
We had far better ideas. More useful. More surprising. More disruptive. But, in the end, the final decision was taken out of our hands. Someone higher up picked up the pen and decided to write the campaign himself.
For me, that decision destroyed what had originally been a product designed to make people's lives easier.
I keep this film here not because I'm proud of it, but because it reminds me that protecting an idea is sometimes just as important as having one.
